What is Sound Healing

d healing, also known as sound therapy, sonic therapy, sound medicine, sound meditation, sound journeys, sound baths, and vibroacoustic therapy, is a holistic practice that uses sound vibrations to promote well-being. Similar to other healing modalities like massage, yoga, and aromatherapy, sound healing helps restore balance, relieve discomfort, and reconnect you with a sense of wholeness. By listening to a carefully curated combination of musical instruments, you can experience deep relaxation, pain relief, and emotional release. Rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern science, sound healing becomes even more powerful when approached with intention and active participation.

What to Expect

Attending a live sound bath is a completely different experience from listening to a recording. In person, you not only hear the sound but also feel the vibrations, allowing for a deeper sense of relaxation and healing. You’ll enter a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by like-minded individuals, free from outside distractions. I provide a welcoming space for people to gather, unwind, and enjoy moments of stillness – right in your local community, without the need to travel far.

Contraindications & Safety Guidelines

Sound healing is generally a gentle and supportive practice, but there are certain medical conditions where caution is needed. If you have any concerns, please consult a healthcare professional before attending.

Who Should Avoid Sound Healing?

The following conditions may pose risks:

  • Sound-induced epilepsy (a direct contraindication)
  • Pregnancy (especially in the first trimester – consult your doctor)
  • Individuals with cardiac or brain implants, including:
    • Pacemakers, defibrillators, artificial heart valves
    • Stents, shunts, or deep brain stimulation (DBS) devices
  • Non-sound-induced epilepsy (seek medical advice)
  • Serious mental health conditions, such as:
    • Severe depression, anxiety, PTSD, psychosis or other significant mental health challenges
